1. Preamble and mission

The Je chemine platform is a space dedicated to supporting mental health. It provides a technological infrastructure enabling the connection between clients and qualified professionals for psychological consultation and assessment services.

2. Distinction of responsibilities

It is understood that Je chemine acts exclusively as a technical intermediary.

• Platform's responsibility : ensuring the proper operation of the tools for appointment booking, payment, receipts, and self-learning.
• Professional's responsibility : each professional is solely responsible for their clinical acts, professional judgment, assessments, and the quality of their follow-up.
• Clinical records : the platform does not manage, store, or access any clinical records. The keeping and preservation of records (progress notes, assessment reports, raw data, etc.) rest exclusively with the professional, in accordance with the standards of their respective professional order.

3. Eligibility and account use

• Registration : the user agrees to provide accurate information and to maintain the confidentiality of their credentials.
• Personal use : the account is strictly personal. The user is responsible for any activity carried out under their account.

4. Intellectual property

All elements that make up the platform (texts, logos, graphics, journey tools, videos, software, etc.) are the exclusive property of Je chemine.

• The user benefits from a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license for personal use.
• Any unauthorized reproduction, extraction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

5. Integrity and security of the platform

The user agrees not to damage the platform. The following are strictly prohibited:

• any attempt to intrude or hack into the system;
• the introduction of viruses or malicious code;
• any action that could overload or damage Je chemine's technical infrastructure.

6. Confidentiality and privacy

• Technical confidentiality : the platform encrypts communications. However, the user is responsible for ensuring they are in a private environment and for taking steps to protect their data.
• Recordings : it is strictly forbidden to record communications without the explicit written consent of a platform member.
• Professional secrecy : professional secrecy binds the client and the mental health professional.

7. Service terms

• Assessments : the client acknowledges that the initial assessment process, aimed at properly directing the client, follows rigorous protocols under the responsibility of a platform member.
• Cancellations : cancellation policies and associated fees are determined by the platform's conditions and agreements with the professional.
• Payments : payments are made via the platform (credit card, Interac transfer, or pre-authorized bank debit agreement). The platform is responsible for issuing official consultation receipts.

8. Non-emergency clause

IMPORTANT: The Je chemine platform is not an emergency response service. In the event of a suicidal crisis or immediate danger to yourself or others, you must immediately contact your local emergency services (e.g., 911) or go to the nearest emergency room.

9. Sanctions and termination

Any breach of these policies, in particular abusive behavior toward a professional or an administrative member, or any attempt to damage the platform, may result in the suspension or permanent closure of the account without notice.
